Tay Wei Kiang
Wei Kiang is a seasoned telecommunications and network operations leader with over 30 years of experience spanning carrier-grade network operations, cybersecurity delivery, AI-driven automation and large-scale infrastructure management across Singapore and the region.
At Singtel, he provides strategic and operational leadership for nationwide network operations and maintenance, regulatory compliance and network resiliency across consumer and enterprise mobile/broadband services. He leads multidisciplinary teams covering 24×7 NOC operations, core infrastructure and field engineering, driving excellence in service assurance, incident and change management and continuous service improvement, while championing cost efficiency and operational discipline.
In parallel, Wei Kiang heads Singtel’s Autonomous, Analytics & AI (A3N) initiative, driving the transformation toward a fully autonomous, AI-native and intent-driven network. As leader of the A3N program office, he defines the Autonomous Network roadmap and maturity models, governs the portfolio of AI and automation use cases with measurable business outcomes, and advances reusable architectures and data platforms that enhance agility, resilience, and customer experience.
Prior to Singtel, Wei Kiang held senior leadership roles in cybersecurity operations at ST Engineering (Info-Security) and spent 18 years at StarHub as AVP, Head of IP Network & System Infrastructure, leading large-scale IP and data-centre networks while working closely with regulators, vendors, and enterprise customers. He began his career at Fujitsu, supporting regional telco operators and gaining deep hands-on experience in mission-critical networks and multi-country delivery.
Wei Kiang holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science (Computer Engineering) from Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
