Sebastiano Bertani is Head of Corteca AI at Nokia, where he leads the product development and growth of AI capabilities across Nokia’s Corteca platform.
Before joining Nokia, he founded Tanaza S.p.A. and served as its CEO, where he advanced AI‑powered, cloud‑based managed Wi‑Fi solutions and led the company to win the Wi‑Fi NOW Award for Best Enterprise Wi‑Fi Solution (2018). He holds multiple patents in the areas of wireless networking, cloud connectivity, and network management. He has represented the European Digital SME Alliance and Small Business Standard in European Commission expert groups related to the Radio Equipment Directive (EG RED) and in the ETSI Reconfigurable Radio Systems (RRS) group, focusing on software/hardware disaggregation and the transition to a more horizontal market. Earlier in his career, he worked at Fluidmesh Networks (acquired by Cisco), Accenture, and Selta Telecommunications. He began his entrepreneurial path at 14, founding Sky‑Net S.r.l., an internet advertising start‑up that reached 1M daily impressions in 2000.
Sebastiano studied Telecommunication Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and UPC – Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Barcelona), and holds an MBA from MIP Business School. He loves skiing.
