Making your own way there

The Westin is located in the vibrant Jumeirah Beach area, approximately 30 minutes from Dubai International Airport (DXB), depending on traffic.

Taxis are readily available outside all DXB terminals (look for the cream-colored Dubai Taxis). The journey takes approximately 25-35 minutes and costs roughly 100–120 AED. Ride-sharing services are also available.

The Dubai Metro (Red Line) offers efficient service to the Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) station. From there, you can connect to the Dubai Tram to Mina Seyahi Tram Station, which is a short walk or taxi ride to the hotel. This option is less direct but budget-friendly.

All visitors to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) must hold a passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival.

Visa Policy

Many nationalities, including citizens from the EU, US, UK, Canada, Australia, and many others, are granted visa-free entry or a Visa on Arrival (VOA), allowing a stay of up to 30 or 90 days.

Visa Application

If your nationality is not eligible for a VOA, you must arrange your entry visa in advance through a local sponsor, travel agent, or the airline (Emirates and Etihad often sponsor visas).

Recommendation

Please check the official UAE government website or contact your local UAE embassy well in advance to confirm the specific visa requirements for your passport.

If you require an official Nokia invitation letter to apply for a visa, please contact your sales person.

Please follow the instructions on the event intranet site and contact karen.whitaker@nokia.com in case of questions.

  • May to September: Temperatures are significantly higher, often exceeding 40°C (104°F), with high humidity.

The official currency of the UAE is the Dirham (AED), often symbolized as Dhs or Dh.
